Trek is David Carson’s first graphic design book in the past five years. Along with his latest photographic feats it features film and web work and brilliant new designs created for illustrious clients such as Nine Inch Nails and Quicksilver. Also included is a selection of designs David has created at workshops conducted in countries all over the world.
With Trek, David Carson is deftly shuffling the deck, bridging the elusive gaps between several different genres. His photographs are always of particular interest: everyday people, places and objects transformed through his uncompromising respect for free association, his extraordinary sense of color, and his vision.

David Carson’s photography has been exhibited in San Francisco, London and Europe and he has been awarded International Center of Photography’s coveted prize for best use of design in photography. David Carson — according to ID Magazine: "the most famous designer in the world" — is currently based in New York where he works as film director, lecturer, designer, consultant, and author. Trek reveals where David has gone with his graphic design since the bestselling 2nd Sight was published in 1997.

" The images — some conventionally interesting, others indecipherable — are flung onto the pages like paint on a canvas that magically lands in just the right place."
