Gasbook 11 Q. & A.,
Questions & Answers |
| Gasbook 11 was produced as a kind of anonymous collaboration between the artists who took part in a Tokyo design event called Designer's Block. |
Firstly each of the participating artists was asked to submit a question that could be answered visually. The resulting questions were then shuffled and distributed at random amongst the same group with the request to 'create' the answer.
Gasbook 11 is a collection of the remarkable work that resulted from this unique and inspiring idea. Questions asked ranged from ''Why do we exist?'' (Ryan McGinness), ''What is Japanese?'' (Akihiro Ikegoshi), ''More or less?'' (Tim Shandro), and ''How will He return?'' (ACNE Family); the ''answers'' are as unpredictable and expressive as one would expect from such an illustrious group of creative gurus and all have been displayed at key locations in and around Tokyo. |
